There are certain hallmarks of a successful company you can't help but notice. For instance, you recognise their company branding. You know the founder's name. You hear good things about them in conversation. You might even catch yourself humming their advertising jingle.
"A meeting is an event where minutes are kept and hours are lost"
Do you agree or disagree with this sentiment? Judging by the barrage of published research relating to unproductive business meetings, unfortunately it seems most of the working population wholeheartedly agree.
2017 is here, and what better way to fire up the New Year than a stimulating meeting of the minds?
It's the perfect time to set up an inspirational meeting, get the team together and thrash out plans for the quarter. And given the seasonal tendency for 'January blues', the more stimulating and motivational your surroundings, the better.
At Landmark Plc, our 'business' is serviced office business centres. Actually, that's not strictly true. Take a closer look and you'll find that the centre of our business is service. Specifically, customer service.
Landmark Plc team members and clients joined forces to bake for Macmillan Cancer’s popular World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on September 30th. Each of the five Landmark locations hosted a coffee morning where clients and staff baked a variety of cakes from Victoria sponges to Gin and Tonic cupcakes.
The variety of cakes and biscuits was very tempting and clearly proved popular with everyone in each of the locations, raising over £1,484 for the charity.
Networking. Who would have thought that one little word could wield so much power?
The thought of networking alone has the capacity to leave small business owners with a sense of impending doom. After all, not everyone is cut out for schmoozing and slick small talk. But under the right circumstances, networking is a vital business growth tool that can accelerate your potential client base and generate real business, virtually overnight.
Look around your workplace and answer this simple question: Where's your least favourite place?
We're willing to bet it's the meeting room.
You can have the world's most beautiful meeting room at your disposal (ahem, we think these meeting rooms are worthy contenders), yet you still can't wait to get out of there. Why? Because many meetings are long, drawn-out and painfully unproductive. Meeting agendas have an ugly habit of expanding merely to fill allocated time slots.
With locations in London's vibrant West End and the beating heart of the City, Landmark Plc’s serviced offices are in more demand than ever. Alan Todd, Head of Sales, rounds up the five premium rated business centres of 2016:
Usually, the only bird-like activity you'll find at Landmark Plc is the 'tweeting' kind.
That is, unless you happen to be passing 125 Old Broad Street. Crane skywards and you might just spot a swooping, predatory figure, wings outstretched, occupying a commanding spot high above the business centre rooftops.
Is it a bird? Well yes, it is. A kite, to be precise (not the feathered variety), shaped like a bird of prey and anchored to the upper echelons of Landmark Plc's Old Broad Street business centre.
Think of a serviced office and what springs to mind? Flexible contracts, short-term offices, affordable workspace?
You can expect all of the above and more from a serviced office, such as those provided by Yours Truly. But one quite significant perk that you might not have considered is the networking opportunities that come with it.
